This is just lovely Carrie. I agree with it having that mid-1800's feel about it, which only adds to the depth of emotion. At first I thought for sure, (I guess because you're the author), they would be ghosts themselves, but I'm glad they weren't because it made for a much more poignant story.

Beautiful, Carrie. This story had a Victorian mid-1800s sort of appeal; maybe it was the formality of the childrens' outfits, or maybe it was the idea of picnicking in a cemetery. Whichever, it has a lovely, classic, timeless feel that makes me want to sigh.
