FAQ

  Q: Can I interview you?
A: You can ask. I don’t have much time for lengthy responses. Brevity is king.

2.       Q: Where can I find out more about you?
A: You can follow me on Twitter or ask to be in my friends’ list on Facebook. I reserve the right to refuse your request.

3.       Q: Where do you get your ideas for your stories?
A: I steal them from real life. Sometimes I’ll overhear a converstion, see people doing something, or misinterpret lyrics I’m hearing that sets my mind off and running. Other times I’ll be jerked awake in the middle of the night by a dream.

4.       Q: Why don’t you have a list of publications?
A: I forget most of the places I’ve ended up at. Google does well to find my work.

5.       Q: Can I give you a blog award?
A: Not to sound pretentious, but I get them all of the time. They are like chain mails. I’d really rather you give them to someone that has time/wants to reciprocate.

6.       Q: I’d like to invite you to a project. It doesn’t pay. Would you consider donating work?
A: This really depends on who you are, how professional the publication is, and the cause it serves. I have done “4thaluv” pubs in the past and would most likely at least consider them again. If you’re interested, drop me a line. My contact info is on my blog and in my Blogger profile.

7.       Q: I’d like to help you find an agent. Want to know how to land one?
A: No. I do not seek representation at this time. Save the advice for someone that is actively looking.

8.       Q: What are your future publication plans? Any novels in the works?
A: I tinker, but not working on a novel in hopes of publication. There’s enough of that out there already. Future plans include writing more stories, flash-fiction, networking and staying Indie. It’s a nice crowd.

9.       Q: Who are your influences in writing?
A: Probably be answered as what are my influences in writing. 85% of my library is non-fiction. I take my research very seriously and watch documentaries, buy maps and a number of books for reference on any given subject. Music is something I attribute 99% of my words to. It is without a doubt, the biggest driving influence behind my creativity. Stephen King. Cookies. Coffee.

10.   Q: Where else are you actively found?
A: My critique partner told me I need blog intervention. My favorite ongoing story is Crooked Fang. I also have The Reading Room (it’s in hiatus right now). Follow them, stick them in your reader etc. There’s probably something in that list for almost everyone. I love comments and intelligent feedback.
